Guy de Maupassant (1850-1893) a situé au Havre l’intrigue du roman Pierre et Jean. À l’occasion d’une partie de pêche sur La Perle, le père Roland et ses deux fils, Pierre et Jean, contemplent l’arrivée vers la jetée du paquebot le Prince-Albert.
